1. Subscription Overview
Simpler Budget: Monarch operates on a subscription model to provide ongoing value and support for your child's financial education journey.
What's Included in Your Subscription:
- Full access to all app features including goal setting, progress tracking, and achievement sharing
- Unlimited savings goals and financial tracking
- Secure iCloud data storage and syncing
- Regular app updates with new features and improvements
- Educational content and financial literacy tools
- Customer support via email
- No advertisements or third-party promotions
2. Subscription Plans
Available Plans:
- Monthly Subscription: $4.99/month, automatically renewed every month
- Annual Subscription: $39.99/year, automatically renewed every year (equivalent to $3.33/month)
Plan Benefits:
- Flexibility: Switch between monthly and yearly plans at any time
- Family-Friendly Pricing: One subscription covers one child profile per device
- No Hidden Fees: The subscription price includes all features - no additional in-app purchases
- Educational Value: Cost-effective compared to traditional financial literacy programs
3. Billing and Payment
💳 Apple Handles All Payments
- All subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store
- Payments are charged to your Apple ID account
- We never see or store your payment information
- Apple's secure payment system protects your financial data
Billing Details:
- Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
- Billing Date: Charged on the same date each month/year as your initial purchase
- Price Changes: You'll be notified of any price changes in advance
- Failed Payments: Apple will handle payment retry attempts and notify you of issues
- Receipts: Apple provides email receipts for all subscription charges
4. Free Trial (When Available)
We may occasionally offer free trials for new subscribers:
- Free trial periods will be clearly displayed in the App Store
- You can cancel during the trial period without being charged
- If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically begin after the trial
- Previous subscribers may not be eligible for free trials
- Only one free trial per Apple ID account
5. Cancellation and Refunds
How to Cancel Your Subscription:
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find "Simpler Budget: Monarch" and tap it
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
⚠️ Important Cancellation Information
You must cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Cancelling through the app itself does not cancel your subscription - you must use your Apple ID settings.
Refund Policy:
- Apple's Refund Policy Applies: All refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us
- Request Refunds: Contact Apple Support directly or use reportaproblem.apple.com
- Refund Criteria: Apple determines refund eligibility based on their policies
- Timing: Refund requests should be made promptly after the unwanted charge
- No Partial Refunds: We cannot provide partial refunds for unused portions of subscription periods
6. What Happens When You Cancel
- Access Continues: You can use the app until the end of your current billing period
- Data Preservation: Your child's financial data remains safely in iCloud
- Feature Limitation: After cancellation, some features may become limited or unavailable
- Re-subscription: You can resubscribe at any time to regain full access
- No Data Loss: Cancelling doesn't delete your child's progress or savings goals
7. Subscription Changes and Updates
Plan Modifications:
- You can upgrade from monthly to yearly at any time through your Apple ID settings
- When upgrading, you'll receive prorated credit for your current plan
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period
- We may introduce new subscription tiers in the future
Price Changes:
- We reserve the right to modify subscription prices
- Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before price changes
- Price increases won't affect your current billing period
- You can cancel before price changes take effect
